Principal Matcha
The tea for Matcha is grown in the same way as Gyokuro, and only soft flavoured new leaves are picked and processed without rolling. Later it is ground by stone mills like in olden days. |

Matcha with a high content of γ-amino butyric acid (Gabaron Matcha)
The method to produce this tea was developed by the National Institute of Vegetable and Tea Science. The tea leaves are given special conditions that increase the amount of γ-amino butyric acid naturally. We have applied the Gabaron tea (Sencha) method to our way of making Matcha.
γ-amino butyric acid acts as a blood pressure control. The effect of this tea is more than 10 times stronger than that of usual Matcha
This Matcha is efficiently absorbed by the body, so we recommend persons of middle to advanced age to drink it every day.
If they have a blood pressure problem. |

Pre-ground Matcha Leaves, Usuha (Tencha)
These thin leaves are actually the final stage of the tea leaves before grinding them into Matcha.
They are also called Tencha. We select these tea leaves by their bright colour and softness.
You can enjoy the fragrance and flavour of Matcha, when you sprinkle them on the rice for Chazuke, Chameshi or other foods. |
